Come tutti gli anni, nel corso del periodo estivo 2006 le varie Amministrazioni Comunali hanno provveduto ad effettuare la disinfestazione insetticida, soprattutto contro le zanzare.

E molto probabilmente si è provveduto ad utilizzare composti chimici che, a parere di una sezione del aumentare il numero delle zanzare e degli insetti in genere, poiché creano resistenza negli stessi insetti e uccidono invece i loro predatori naturali.

Iinoltre, tali irrorazioni vengono effettuate in orari assolutamente pericolosi, intorno alle ore 23.00, proprio quando nelle località turistiche cominciano ad affluire visitatori e, più in generale, quando le varie cittadine sono comunque affollate.

Abbiamo scritto alla Regione Puglia e all’ANCI Puglia, chiedendo di adottare il principio di precauzione, chiedendo la scheda tecnica del composto chimico usato, l’eventuale sospensione di tali irrorazioni, in caso di sospetti di pericolosità, e informandoli circa il sito web da cui attingere notizie.
